CEO Job Announcement

An Exciting Opportunity for Leadership.

A Stimulating, Supportive Environment.

CEO - Urban League of Northern Virginia

The Northern Virginia Urban League (NVUL) is recognized as one of the most successful and innovative affiliates of the National Urban League, the nation’s oldest and largest community-based movement devoted to empowering African American and other minorities to enter the economic and social mainstream.

For over twenty years, NVUL has helped disadvantaged persons living in Northern Virginia to secure economic self-reliance through the provision of programs and services, and via advocacy efforts throughout our very diversified city and region.

The CEO is backed by a highly supportive and involved Board, a dedicated staff, an exceptionally active young leadership group and also a committed cadre of auxiliary members. Our office is located in an historic building in Old Town, Alexandria, which, along with its location in Northern Virginia provides a dynamic setting to work, live, and raise a family.  It is a great setting … personally and professionally.

Our organization has grown over the years to be a highly-respected, results-producing one, led by a CEO who recently retired. Thus, we seek someone who can ensure continued excellence and growth in our services – someone with the vision, leadership, business and relationship skills to continue to propel us forward.

Successful candidates will bring a variety of experiences and expertise as outlined in the Position Description found on our website. We welcome qualified individuals to apply for the position by following this link: http://www.nvul.org/ceodescription.htm

We are dedicated to making a major difference in the lives of those we serve.

We look forward to hearing from those who can share the passion of our movement.

All inquiries will be handled in strict confidence.
